Poetry Readings By Graham Burchell and Rebecca Gethin

Sit back in a cafè atmosphere and enjoy the work of two acclaimed Devon poets, both of whom are members of the Dartmoor based Moor Poets. There will also be open–mic opportunity for those wishing to share their poetry. Book a slot (5 mins max) at the event if you wish to participate. Entrance £6 to include refreshments.


Graham Burchell

Graham Burchell is a former international teacher whose work took him to many parts of the world. He has been a fulltime poet and children’s author since 2004. He has won a number of poetry competitions, and he has been widely published in poetry journals. His collection “Vermeer’s Corner” was published in 2008 along with his chapbook, “Ladies of Divided Twins.”

Rebecca Gethin

Rebecca lives with her family on Dartmoor. Her debut poetry collection, River is the Plural of Rain, was published by Oversteps Books earlier this year. Her book Footsteps about the remote valley in the Maritime Alps in Italy where her grandfather was born, was published in 2006. Many of her poems have been published in poetry journals. She also reads her poetry in venues around the moor and on local radio and television (well, once). A gardener and a walker she is also, currently, a creative writing tutor in a prison.
