for the 2009 Events Diary Remembrance Sunday Sunday 8th November 2009 Newton Abbot War
Memorial, Queen Street. Remembrance parade will take place from Courtenay
Street and via Queen Street, to the War Memorial where a special
service will take place. Christmas Lights Switch-On
Saturday 14th November (5.30 pm), will be held at St Leonard's Tower, Wolborough Street. Coombeshead College Radio will be getting the
proceedings off to a festive start at 10 am in front of St Leonards
Clock Tower, with students presenting and demonstrating live music all
day. The day will be packed full of entertainment including
Victorian
Evening
Wednesday 2nd December, 6pm - 9pm, Market
Square / Market Walk / Courtenay Street. Come and experience the Victorian atmosphere in
Newton Abbot for one night only. Spot the Character Evening
Entertainment to include: Mayor's Carol Service Wednesday 16th December 2009, in front of St
Leonard's Tower, Courtenay Street, Newton Abbot 7pm - 7:30pm
Come along on the 16th December to join the Mayor
of Newton Abbot Cllr David Howe as he holds this traditional annual open
air Carol Service around the Town Centre Christmas tree .
